The construction was carried out in 1865, which year is engraved on one of the vaults supporting the bridge. The bridge has a total length of 36 meters, being supported by two vaults with different spans: the larger one of 16.46 meters and the smaller one of 11.50 meters. The total width of the bridge is 10 meters, of which 6 meters are dedicated to the two-way road, and the pedestrian sidewalk is 0.5 meters wide.

The railing that delimits the sidewalk is made of decorative cast iron elements, placed in the upper part. The covered passage, which provides pedestrian access between the Franz Iosif Hotel and the Carolina Bath (Hebe), is 2.50 meters wide.

The roof is made of tin, mounted on a wooden structure and supported by metal pillars, which have, in the upper part, ornaments made of cast iron. At the end of the corridor, towards Baia Hebe, there is a marble statue depicting Omphala, queen of Lydia (Lydia was a kingdom located in western Anatolia, on the territory of today's Turkey), to whom Hercules was a servant for three years. Hercules had a son named Lamus with Queen Omphala.
