Parts of the fortress on Ada-Kaleh Island were relocated and partially rebuilt on Šimian Island in 1968, when the island was to be sunk for the construction of the Iron Gates Reservoir.
Sections of the Ada-Kaleh architectural complex, including two arched entrance gates and wall fragments on either side of them, are arranged one after the other, surrounded by grass.
