Negresti Oaș, identified as the capital of Oaș Country, has an area of 13,712 hectares, with 382 hectares within the town and 5 hectares for green spaces.

The only city in Oaș is highlighted by the "Museum of the Country of Oaș" as its main tourist attraction, inaugurated in 1972, where collections and exhibits of art and architecture, traditional costumes, household items and ceramics from the Customs are exhibited. The more than 3,000 pieces reflect the authenticity and cultural-artistic specificity of the locality.

Also, the house-museum of the lawyer Ioniță Andron offers a foray into Osanese folk art and artistic photographs with various themes from this region.

An open-air architectural complex was set up on a hill, similar to a museum of the Ošen village, with five complete households, dating back over 300 years, coming from the localities of Racșa, Moiseni and Gherța. Here, functional technical installations such as a water mill, an eagle, a chest and a pike are also included. Handicraft workshops complete the landscape, contributing to the recreation of the atmosphere of work and traditional life in Ossetia.

Leaving from Negrești Oaș, a route travels north, crossing the localities of Bixad (8 km), Boinești (11 km) and Cămârzana (30 km), areas where authentic elements of architecture and folk art are preserved, offering visitors a rich experience in folklore and special costumes.
