The George Mandrea House was built towards the end of the 19th century.

Architect George Mandrea (1855-1916) studied in Dresden and held the position of architect of the Bucharest City Hall and the Civil Hospitals Ephorate.

Between 1893 and 1903, he was involved in the restoration works of the Sinaia Monastery.
